Softball Recap: Hinsdale Central Takes a Loss

Hinsdale Central's last matchup with Hammondsport could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Saturday. The Bobcats came up short against the Lakers, falling 23-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-12 on April 3rd.

Hinsdale Central's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hammondsport, their win ended a 17-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hinsdale Central will welcome Fillmore at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hammondsport, they will host Whitman at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
