Basketball Game Preview: Carbondale Terriers vs. Centralia Orphans

Carbondale is 0-10 against Centralia since March of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Carbondale Terriers will be playing at home against the Centralia Orphans at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Carbondale came up short against Triad and fell 60-50. While losing is never fun, the Terriers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Knights are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, Centralia entered their tilt with Waltonville on Saturday with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. They snuck past the Spartans with a 49-45 win. 49 seems to be a good number for the Orphans as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Carbondale's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Centralia, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.
