Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shrewsbury). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Algonquin Regional Titans a 13-0 shutout on Monday. The Colonials haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Shrewsbury pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Algonquin Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Shrewsbury and Algonquin Regional should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Colonials (ranked sixth) will meet Westborough (ranked 209th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Algonquin Regional will face off against Marlborough at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (15 vs. 267).
