Basketball Recap: Washington-Liberty Takes a Loss

Washington-Liberty lost against Langley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Washington-Liberty Generals received a blow as they fell 53-38 to the Langley Saxons. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Saxons are ranked 15th).

This is the second loss in a row for Washington-Liberty and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Langley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Washington-Liberty has already played their next game, a 53-38 loss against Langley on the 15th. As for Langley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-35 victory against George C. Marshall on the 14th.
