Baseball Recap: Mccollum Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

McCollum entered their tilt with Southside on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Cowboys: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in February, they had to take a 10-8 loss.

McCollum got a great performance from Damien Pastrano as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Gio Gaono was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

McCollum lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

McCollum's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Southside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. McCollum will challenge rival South San Antonio at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Southside is set to face off against their familiar foe Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
