 Twentynine Palms was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 17-4 walloping at the hands of the Yucca Valley Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Twentynine Palms of the  3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in March of 2023.
  Noah Barber made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with four  stolen bases, a  triple,  and a  run.
 Even though they lost, Twentynine Palms  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 On Yucca Valley's side,  Ryder Rohr was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out 14 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. Rohr was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs while going 4-for-4.
 In other batting news, Yucca Valley let  Trent Morrison and  Sebastian Mora loose on the outfield. Morrison  scored three  runs while going 4-for-4, while  Mora  went 4-for-4 with four  RBI and a  run. Another player making a difference was  Jay Burroughs, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Twentynine Palms' loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Yucca Valley, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 3-8.
 While Twentynine Palms had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
