Soccer Recap: St. Augustine Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against IDEA Riverview, St. Augustine was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They skirted past the Incarnate Word Academy Angels 2-1. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

With the win, St. Augustine broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Incarnate Word Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-5.

St. Augustine will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Anthony at 3:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Geneva at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
