Softball Recap: Lisbon Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Lisbon's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mount Abram Roadrunners a 16-0 shutout. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Emma Bourgoin looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Brynn Chase was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Brook Norman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Lisbon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lisbon pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Mount Abram, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lisbon will welcome Dirigo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Greyhounds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mount Abram, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Dominic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Roadrunners surely won't give up without a fight.
