Basketball Recap: Magnolia West Comes Up Short

The Magnolia West Mustangs came up short against the Klein Forest Eagles on Tuesday, falling 59-35. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1117th, while the Eagles are ranked 408th).

Magnolia West dropped their record down to 5-18 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Klein Forest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Magnolia West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-31 loss against Klein Collins on the 10th. Klein Forest has also already played their next game, a 52-49 win against Klein on the 10th.
