Baseball Recap: Wake Forest Cougars vs. J.H. Rose Rampants

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Wake Forest ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the J.H. Rose Rampants 7-6. The Cougars' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Carson Crider looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Stephen Crater was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Williams, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Wake Forest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
