Basketball Recap: Wawasee Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fairfield

Wawasee had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. The game between the Warriors and the Fairfield Falcons didn't end well, with the Warriors falling 54-38. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Wawasee lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Stephen Akase, who shot 78% from the field on his way to 14 points. Nolan Holzwart was another key player, putting up eight points.

Coming up, Wawasee will be playing at home against Angola at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fairfield, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Goshen at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
