Baseball Recap: Manistee Takes a Loss

Manistee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Evart Wildcats. The Chippewas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Manistee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Joseph, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Manistee's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Evart, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Manistee beat the Wildcats by a score of 7-2 later that day.
