Baseball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland lost to Jumpertown on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blue Devils lost 19-3 to the Cardinals.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Jumpertown, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11.

Ashland and Jumpertown could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. The Blue Devils will face off against West Union at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (292 vs. 68). Meanwhile, Jumpertown (ranked 287th) will meet Pine Grove (ranked 133rd) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
