Volleyball Recap: Samson Falls Short of Pleasant Valley in the Playoffs

Samson and Pleasant Valley squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Samson had to settle for second. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 3-0.

Holly Warren paced Samson's offense, picking up nine kills. Warren got some help from Heidi Warren and her 18 assists. Emma Sormrude controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Samson's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 34-14 record this season.

Samson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pleasant Valley has already played their next matchup (against Mars Hill Bible), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
