Basketball Recap: Hot Springs Takes a Loss

Hot Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 48-11 loss at the hands of the Sturgis Brown Scoopers. The Bison lost against the Scoopers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 42-37 score last time.

Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Sturgis Brown, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hot Springs will host Edgemont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sturgis Brown, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Custer at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
