Baseball Recap: Louisburg Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spring Hill, Louisburg was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Santa Fe Trail Chargers by a score of 12-8.

The team relied heavily on Meade Rutherford, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Max Amren was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

The win got Louisburg back to even at 1-1. As for Santa Fe Trail, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Louisburg will challenge Baldwin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Fe Trail, they will face off against Prairie View at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie View's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Santa Fe Trail's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
