Softball Recap: Franklin Yellowjackets vs. River Islands Riptide
While Franklin put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for River Islands. The Franklin Yellowjackets were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over the River Islands Riptide. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.
Angelica Torres was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Aliciana Young was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Franklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Franklin now has a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chavez at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
