Volleyball Recap: T.C. Roberson Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, T.C. Roberson couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Weddington Warriors on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

While T.C. Roberson was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-14.

Weddington was led to victory by Owen Conklin and Nithilan Velavan. Conklin had six digs and two aces, while Velavan had eight digs and two aces. Velavan is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season.

T.C. Roberson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Weddington, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

As of now, neither T.C. Roberson nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
