Basketball Recap: Dolores Huerta Prep Takes a Loss

Dolores Huerta Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Peyton Panthers, falling 91-30. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Panthers are ranked 135th).

Dolores Huerta Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Peyton, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dolores Huerta Prep will face off against Pikes Peak Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peyton, they will take on Harrison at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
