Independence has gone 7-1 against Charlotte Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Independence will look to defend their home field against Charlotte Catholic at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Independence's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.

Independence proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 win over Ardrey Kell. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since May 2, 2024.

Independence got a massive performance out of Morgan Clark, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Clark has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna McCloud, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Clark wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Independence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 9-3 to Providence.

Independence pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Charlotte Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Everything went Independence's way against Charlotte Catholic in their previous matchup on March 7th, as Independence made off with a 13-1 win. Does Independence have another victory up their sleeve, or will Charlotte Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
