Basketball Game Preview: Bleckley County Royals vs. Washington County Golden Hawks

Bleckley County is 1-9 against Washington County since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Royals will take on the Golden Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Royals fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They came out on top against Wilkinson County by a score of 45-35 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Washington County posted their closest victory since January 7th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Hancock Central 56-53. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Hawks.

Bleckley County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Washington County when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
