Basketball Recap: Faith Lutheran Takes a Loss

Faith Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 35-9 to the Faustina Academy Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 0-0 last Monday.

Madi Babisak was Faith Lutheran's leading scorer, having posted four points.

Faustina Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Malia Flood out in front who posted six points in addition to 11 boards and three steals. Flood is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. Giuliana Nussmeier was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Faith Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Faustina Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Faith Lutheran has already played their next game, a 38-21 loss against Trinity Christian Academy on the 4th. Faustina Academy has also already played their next contest (against Waxahachie Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
