Basketball Recap: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy had won two straight home games and Nicole NJoroge did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions managed a 44-38 win over the Sabino Sabercats thanks in part to NJoroge, who posted 18 points along with eight boards and five steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Chloe Rogers, who earned seven steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Several Sabercats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chayil Combs, who had 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Melia Graham, who scored ten points.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Sabino, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-17 win against Palo Verde on the 17th. As for Sabino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-7 victory against Empire on the 17th.
