Hesperia Christian came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since May 28, 2024.

Eden Skinner was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rilee Cooper, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Hesperia Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-7-1. As for Academy of Careers & Exploration, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8-1.
