Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

The matchup between Riverside and Bethel on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Pirates came up short against the Bees, falling 14-5. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Bees recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Riverside saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Orsborne, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Cooper Crouch was another, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Bethel, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will challenge Northridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bethel, they will square off against Covington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bees surely won't give up without a fight.
