Baseball Recap: Woodstock Comes Up Short

Woodstock managed to slip by Grayslake North the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Streaks lost 13-4 to the Knights on Monday. The Blue Streaks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2016.

Woodstock saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Cote, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

Woodstock's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Grayslake North, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-25.

Woodstock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grayslake North, they will face off against Prairie Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
