Baseball Recap: St. Frederick Continues Home Dominance on Monday

St. Frederick lost to D'Arbonne Woods back in April of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. St. Frederick never let D'Arbonne Woods get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly ten runs.

Not much got past ANTHONY JACKSON, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep D'Arbonne Woods off the board. That's the fewest hits JACKSON has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on WILLIAM PATRICK, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. AIDEN MELNA was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

St. Frederick's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for D'Arbonne Woods, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Frederick will take on Loyola College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for D'Arbonne Woods, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
