Volleyball Recap: Hazleton Area Cougars vs. Berwick Bulldogs
If Hazleton Area was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Selinsgrove on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars came up short against the Berwick Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Hazleton Area was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-22.
Berwick was led to victory by Angie Colone and Julia Rauch. Colone had 13 kills, 11 digs, and three aces, while Rauch had eight digs and two aces.
