After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Broomfield, Grand Junction Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 40-14 margin over the Longmont Trojans. Considering the Warriors have won four matches by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Grand Junction Central's victory came down to the chemistry between Asher Carter and his top target Rylie Hoyt. Carter picked up 155 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Hoyt threw for 337 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes. Hoyt also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception. Dom Colosimo was another key player, gaining 129 total yards and a touchdown.

Grand Junction Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Longmont lost, don't look at Joey Foot. Despite the final result, he picked up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Jacob Foot also played a phenomenal game despite the final result: he picked up 90 receiving yards.
