Soccer Recap: Kennett Takes a Loss

The Kennett Eagles came up short against the ConVal Cougars on Wednesday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Kennett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while ConVal are ranked 17th).

This is the second loss in a row for Kennett and nudges their season record down to 0-8-1. As for ConVal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-0-2.

Looking ahead, Kennett will face off against Laconia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennett will be up against Laconia's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for ConVal, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Lebanon at 12:00 p.m.
