Brookfield has gone a perfect 10-0 against Stratford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bobcats will square off against the Red Devils at 4:15 p.m. Brookfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13 runs per game this season.

Brookfield is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: New Milford, who was ranked third at the time (Brookfield was ranked fourth). The Bobcats fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sydney Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Samantha Aurrichio made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Sinapi, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Stratford came up short against Bunnell on Wednesday and fell 6-1. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The defeat was their first on the road, dropping their record down to 6-3. As for Brookfield, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Everything went Brookfield's way against Stratford when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Brookfield made off with a 15-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
