West Albany has gone a perfect 10-0 against Crescent Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
West Albany took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against South Albany as they made off with a 9-2 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Redhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Gabriella Young 2027 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.
On the hitting side, Amelia Kidd 2026 was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Chaffins 2026, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
West Albany hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Crescent Valley hadn't done well against Corvallis recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Raiders had just enough and edged out the Spartans 11-10. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Crescent Valley got a massive performance out of Abby Kessler, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Howitt, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Crescent Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for West Albany, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Crescent Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. West Albany has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Crescent Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 2.6 strikeouts. Will West Albany keep running through batters, or will the Raiders buck the trend?
Everything went West Albany's way against Crescent Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as West Albany made off with a 12-0 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
