Four Corners skates past Ridgeview Global Studies Academy with ease

Make it seven blowout wins for the Four Corners Coyotes this season. They breezed by Ridgeview Global Studies Academy at home to the tune of 59-20. With Four Corners ahead 42-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Four Corners got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mia Villanueva out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten steals. Villanueva is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Karina Cruz, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and six blocks.

Despite the defeat, Ridgeview Global Studies Academy saw an underclassman step up: Stephanie Morales scored four points along with six rebounds and four steals. Morales has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Four Corners is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Four Corners won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Frostproof at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Frostproof comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
