League recap: Coquille blown out by Oakland

3A Special District 2 recap October 1, 2013

Coquille lost to Oakland 21-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tristan Dixon was a bright spot for the Red Devils, as he ran for 15 yards and caught 1 pass for 13 yards in the loss.

Bandon/Pacific made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,910 from 14,382. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 15-0 victory over Chiloquin last week.

Coquille's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Breitkreutz threw for 39 yards and Dixon had 13 yards receiving. On the ground Dixon contributed 15 yards. Chris Elmer helped Coquille's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 17 yards.

Dixon was a passing and rushing force as David Thomason's team fell to the Oakers.

Dixon was the best wideout in 3A Special District 2 this week as the Red Devils lost to Oakland. Elmer helped Coquille's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 17 yards.
