Football Recap: Mountain Pointe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mountain Pointe can now relate to. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 37-21 to the Desert View Jaguars.

Sonny Norwood threw for 136 yards on ten of 17 attempts. LeGarrette Blount JR was his top target, picking up 84 receiving yards.

Jaylee Abraham produced another solid effort rushing for 116 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 129 receiving yards and one score for Desert View. Abraham's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards. Ryan Vasavilbaso was another key player, having thrown for 255 yards and two touchdowns.

Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Desert View, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Mountain Pointe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Desert View, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. Desert View will need to watch out since Canyon View has now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups.
