After flying high against Burkeville last Tuesday, Evadale came back down to earth. The Evadale Rebels fell just short of the Warren Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Evadale took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Evadale's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Warren, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evadale will venture away from home to take on Woodville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Evadale is facing Woodville at the right time seeing as Woodville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Warren, they will head out to face off against Chester at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chester is coming into the game with four straight victories at home, so Warren will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
