Volleyball Game Preview: Chaminade Eagles vs. Notre Dame Academy Regal Gryphons

The Chaminade Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Notre Dame Academy Regal Gryphons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chaminade's tournament run continued when they took on Oaks Christian on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Academy got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Bishop Alemany. The Regal Gryphons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

Notre Dame Academy never let Bishop Alemany on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-14.

Notre Dame Academy has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Chaminade, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.

Everything went Chaminade's way against Notre Dame Academy in their previous matchup back in September, as Chaminade made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
