Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harpeth). They put the hurt on the Cheatham County Central Cubs with a sharp 14-5 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Harpeth got a massive performance out of Aaron Higgs, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. What's more, Higgs posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Wilson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Harpeth has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Cheatham County Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
