Basketball Game Preview: M.L. King Lions vs. Mays Raiders + Official Tickets

M.L. King is 0-3 against Mays since December of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Lions will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between M.L. King and Drew, and Drew kept the tradition alive. The Lions took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Drew on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mays entered their tilt with Forest Park on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Panthers 76-48. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

M.L. King now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mays, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

M.L. King was taken down by Mays 91-53 in their previous matchup back in February. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Raiders' Omari Barnes, who dropped a triple-double with 22 points, 11 boards, and 12 assists.
