Football Recap: Clark Skates Past Spring Valley with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clark). They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 38-0 win over the Spring Valley Grizzlies. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their seven-point performance the match before.

A big part of Clark's victory came down to the chemistry between Taedyn Parks and her top target Annika Griffith. Parks threw for 196 yards and four touchdowns while Griffith picked up 117 receiving yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Parks has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Ava Reed, who gained 127 total yards and a touchdown.

Clark's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Spring Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clark will challenge Rancho at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Clark is facing Rancho at the right time seeing as Rancho is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Spring Valley, they will square off against Amplus Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
