Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Center Trojans vs. Underwood Eagles

Tri-Center hasn't had much luck against Underwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. Tri-Center knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Underwood likes a good challenge.

If Tri-Center beats Underwood with 81 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Tri-Center secured an 81-77 W over Audubon two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Underwood waltzed into their game last Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 47-44.

Tri-Center pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Underwood, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Tri-Center came up short against Underwood in their previous meeting back in January, falling 59-47. Can Tri-Center avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
