James River HomeSchool blew Lynchburg HomeSchool out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Lynchburg HomeSchool got their revenge. The James River HomeSchool Eagles fell just short of the Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots by a score of 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since February 17, 2024.

Josiah Jantomaso was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 16 on his way to 20 points for Lynchburg HomeSchool. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jantomaso has scored at least a third of Lynchburg HomeSchool's points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Brown, who posted ten points.

James River HomeSchool has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8.

James River HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Bridge Academy at 7:45 p.m. on January 28th. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-55 victory against Southwest Virginia Academy on the 17th.
