Baseball Recap: Dublin Comes Up Short

Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Breckenridge Buckaroos, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buckaroos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Tuesday.

Dublin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Tetan, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those two doubles gave Tetan a new career-high.

Dublin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Breckenridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dublin is set to face off against their familiar foe Eastland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Breckenridge will challenge rival Millsap at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
