Friday just wasn't the day for Deer Lakes's offense. They took a blow against the Highlands Golden Rams on Friday, falling 35-0. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Golden Rams are ranked 167th).

Dante Mangieri threw for 39 yards on five of 12 attempts. On the ground, Ryan Love rushed for 27 yards.

Deer Lakes is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Highlands, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deer Lakes will venture away from home to take on Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers' defense better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 26.7 points per game this season. As for Highlands, they will square off against Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Rams will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups.
