South View is 9-1 against Lumberton since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The South View Tigers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lumberton Pirates at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in South View's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

On Thursday, South View needed a bit of extra time to put away Jack Britt. They walked away with a 63-54 victory over the Buccaneers. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lumberton). They blew past Purnell Swett 73-38 on Wednesday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-10.

South View pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Lumberton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

South View strolled past Lumberton in their previous meeting on January 7th by a score of 62-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for South View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
