Soccer Recap: Gonzaga Prep Falls to Ridgeline in First Game of Season

Gonzaga Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Ridgeline Falcons who were credited with the victory on Wednesday. The Ridgeline Falcons got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups' three. If the Bullpups were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gonzaga Prep wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-2 draw against Olympia on the 14th. As for Ridgeline, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Woodinville on the 14th.
