Baseball Recap: May River Comes Up Short

May River had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Spartanburg Vikings by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.

May River saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Morgan, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Jorden Reid was another, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Spartanburg's win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, May River and Spartanburg will both be playing Chesnee the next time they take the field. The Sharks will head out to face the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Vikings will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
