Carter and Gibbs are an even 3-3-2 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Eagles on Tuesday.

Carter came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to Fulton. Carter's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Gibbs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Union County on Thursday. Gibbs haven't had any issues with Union County recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Carter's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Gibbs, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-2.

Carter got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against Gibbs by a conclusive 5-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
