Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short

Piedmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Castro Valley Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Castro Valley found their leader in freshman Mason Lim, who had four digs and three aces.

Piedmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Castro Valley, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Coincidentally, Piedmont and Castro Valley will both be playing Oakland the next time they take the court. Castro Valley will host Oakland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Piedmont will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
