Football Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County lost against Lawrenceburg back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 40-6. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin County lost, don't look at Mason Wewe. Despite the final result, he picked up 77 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 31 yards.

Lawrenceburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brogan Wynn, who rushed for 47 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin County and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Lawrenceburg, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Franklin County has already played their next contest, a 21-7 victory against Greensburg on the 26th. As for Lawrenceburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-6 win against Batesville on the 26th.
